Safety
We appreciate that knowing your child is safe in a secure nursery is an important part of deciding who is going to look after your child.
Each nursery is specifically designed to ensure there are controlled entrances. We have clear procedures where only a limited number of senior supervisors are authorised to permit admission to the nursery, and children are registered on arrival and departure.
We have also commenced the introduction of Biometric entrance systems to the nurseries and the use of CCTV Systems to visually record arrivals and departures and activities at the nursery during the day. The main benefits to parents are that you can observe your child “settling in” without being in the same room which is often very re-assuring, and also if you have any concerns about “bumps” that may have happened during the day we can replay that period for you to see exactly what was happening in that room at the time. The key benefit for the nursery is that this information can be used very effectively for team training.
During the day children are always under the watchful eye of a member of the team and when children go into the garden they are always counted in and out just in case anyone is still playing "hide and seek"!
