Working Relationships

Whilst every nursery may appear self contained it is in fact the hub of a range of activities involving a number of groups.

Our Parent Link Group is a long established approach we have developed to ensure on-going dialogue with our parents. Please see the Partnership with Parents area.

We also receive visits and professional practice support from the local Early Years and Childcare Service in the delivery of the new Early Years Foundation Stage which combines the established Birth to Three Matters and Foundation Stage guidance. We also participate in local Cluster Groups where our practitioners join up with those from other settings to share experience and best practice which supports our continual improvement.

To support our inclusive approach it is also important that if a child has been identified as experiencing individual learning difficulties we liaise with specialist childcare professionals to ensure there is an effective action plan in place to address that child’s needs. The same applies where a child may have a physical or dietary need which is best catered for in an individual way.
