Events and Activities
We provide a range of adult and child led activities that take into account the child’s own individual interests and developmental age and stage, this follows the six areas of learning within “The Early Years Foundation Stage”
- Communication Language and Literacy
- Problem solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
- Knowledge and Understanding of the world
- Physical Development
- Creative Development
The sixth being Personal, Social and Emotional development which occurs throughout the child’s time with us and is developed through
- Family Group Time with their Key Person
- Discussing feelings through books, puppets and Family Group Time.
- Developing self help skills for example putting on shoes, boots and coats. Also developing practical skills such as pouring their own drinks, helping to lay the table and clearing their plates.
- Working together as a group, asking questions, solving problems, negotiating and sharing.
- Teaching the importance of hygiene through washing hands.
- Acknowledging and celebrating differences, diversity and multi cultural festivals.
We also welcome outside professionals to provide extra activities, such as sports, music and French.
