Policies & Procedures

Over the years the Company has developed an Operating Manual which clearly sets out our Philosophy of Care, and our values. There is a comprehensive set of Policies which state “where we stand” on important issues and points of principle. These are then followed by a group of Procedures covering a broad range of nursery activites from Opening and Closing the nursery, through the Positive Management of child behaviour to Nappy Changing.

It is these Policies and Procedures which form the basis of our Induction Plan for new starters. We want to make sure that at the earliest opportunity you know what our standards are and what is expected of you when you join a Team at Caring Daycare, Noah’s Ark or Major Minors.

We find our Policies and Procedures are considered invaluable as a foundation for training and as an aid to ensuring everyone knows the right way to do things. In so many areas of a nursery’s day to day operations there is only one way to do things properly and that is “in the child’s best interests….they come first!
