Appraisal and Recognition Programmes

Across the nurseries we focus on you as an individual. We have a calendar of events through out the year to ensure we are meeting your development needs and aspirations, as well as recognising personal and training achievements.

Our Appraisal programme starts in January each year with a personal appraisal which explores your performance, training needs and aspirations. This is a formal process which give you the opportunity to have a very open discussion with the Nursery Manager or Senior Supervisor which knows you best. If training is identified this is then organised by the Training Manager. There is then a second appraisal meeting in the middle of the year to review what had been agreed to make sure you receive the support that was promised.

Every month at the Nursery Team Meeting the Manager has the opportunity to highlight the personal commitment or achievement of a Team member with a small personal gift as a very public way of giving recognition for being outstanding.

In the Summer we traditionally organise a Team Training Event at our Halemere nursery. This brings together everyone from all the nurseries. We organise a range of training courses for everyone to participate in to further their personal development. Then afterwards we have a Bar-B-Q in the garden with drinks and present awards and certificates to those who have achieved NVQ qualifications during the year.

Finally at the end of the year at a Christmas Party awards are presented to an individual from each nursery who has been voted for by their colleagues for their outstanding contribution over the previous year. There is also an overall Company Award given by the Managing Director to recognise someone who exemplifies our values and commitment to the children. We recognise the best and celebrate our successes.
